I was reading an awesome article from the Village Voice, declaring 2009 as the Year of the Snuggie. In said awesome article was a handy timeline for our friend, the Snuggie. One item in the timeline was the Snuggie Lady, Jane DeNoble, appearing in the Apple Harvest Day parade in Martinsburg, West Virginia on October 17. Here's a belated pic from that event.

Seriously, what better way to get a celebrity's attention than showing up at their show wearing a Customized Snuggie? For those who don't know, Joel McHale, the object of Kristina's Snuggie obsession, is the host of The Soup (formerly Talk Soup, back in the Greg Kinnear days) and I keep seeing commercials for a new show featuring Joel McHale and Chevy Chase in some new TV show. Whatever...Kristina is the star in my book. Snuggie Super Star. She doesn't mention if her Snuggie Stalking worked, but I do know you should visit her blog.
Savvy from the sister recording duo Savvy and Mandy recently celebrated her 16th birthday party with a group of friends. There's nothing like walking the red carpet in your very own Custom Snuggie.

I must admit I'm very impressed with how sharp the Custom Snuggie looks. Savy marketers can learn from Savvy here ... have I mentioned the Snuggie is a camera magnet? Your own logo on the blanket with sleeves gives your message legs.

Another Custom Snuggie at the airport...and for those of you searching on whether it is ok to wear a Snuggie on an airplane, the answer is \'Absolutely!\' The TSA will probably let you also slide straight through the security checkpoints if you are wearing a Snuggie. So not only does the Snuggie save on your heating bill, it also saves valuable time at the airport.
With June fast approaching, it would probably be wise for all those engaged to register a Snuggie or two. It's the gift that keeps on giving. This video contains Custom Snuggie Sightings, with 'Bride' and 'Groom' monogrammed on them.
More and more companies are incorporating the Snuggie into their marketing plans. Here is Larry Port, Founding Partner of Rocket Matter. He was interviewed at the ABA Techshow on April 6, 2009. Larry opens the talk with about two minutes of legal software talk, but notice how the video's entertainment value amps up as soon as they discuss what he is wearing, a Rocket Matter Signature Snuggie.
This is a good example of a customized Snuggie for businesses to get the word out about their offerings. It is always a good idea to put on a Snuggie. You never know where the Snuggie may take you, or just how much free advertising and word of mouth an unconventional approach can bring.
