I have seen searches hitting this site, asking if it is ok to wear the Snuggie at work. The answer is, by all means, wear that Snuggie.

PC Magazine Names Snuggie Sightings One of Their Favorite Blogs of 2009

PC Magazine has named SnuggieSightings.com one of their Favorite Blogs of 2009. Many thanks to everyone who has submitted a photo or video this year of their Snuggie Sightings. An award such as this, while not quite as epic as a Leg Lamp, is a testament to the creativity and humor of Snuggie fans worldwide.

It is the hard work, humor, and ill-advised uses of the Snuggie from enthusiasts across the globe who have made this site special. Thanks to you all for a hilarious 2009 and thank you to PC Magazine for including SnuggieSightings.com on your list of Favorite Blogs of 2009.

An Avalanche of Snuggie Pub Crawls

With the weather getting colder, cities across America are hosting Snuggie Pub Crawls. There have been at least 47 to date (that I know of), and here are cities crawling this weekend:

Vail, Colorado
College Station, Texas
Cleveland, Ohio
Kansas City, Missouri
Pittsburgh, PA

You can go to SnuggiePubCrawls.com for the latest list of dates and locations. And the fun doesn't stop there, but continues for each weekend through the end of the year. Memphis is crawling the Saturday night after Thanksgiving, and I hear they have over 200 confirmed guests to date. Needless to say, get ready for a whole new level of crawls.

Aspiring NFL Ref Has the Look

Some dream of playing in the NFL. Others play Fantasy Football. However, the really cool hipsters wear a Zebra Snuggie and pronounce first downs and personal fouls outside of bars...a mixture of alcohol and fleece fueling their sports dreams.

Red Snuggie Star Wars Party in Spokane

There's a Red Snuggie Party happening in Spokane, Washington this coming Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at the Baby Bar, starting at 9 PM. Participants will wear Red Snuggies and enjoy one of the worst TV Specials in World History on the 31st Anniversary of its airing. This Special features Chewbacca wearing a precursor to the Red Snuggie.

BACKSTORY -- On November 17, 1978, CBS aired the 'Star Wars Holiday Special'. It was so horrible that it was never shown again. George Lucas opined, 'If I had the time and a sledgehammer, I would track down every copy of that show and smash it.'

Thanks to the Internet, now you can enjoy one of the worst TV specials of all time. The commercials are especially amazing.

Toward the end of the show, around 10 minutes from the end, Chewbacca and his family (his father Itchy, son Lumpy, and wife Malla), don Red robes which look like Red Snuggies.
