I've been known to troll the Internet for Snuggie news and developments (imagine that). I came across this gem, which will likely top the new Snuggie for Kids or Snuggie For Dogs commercial on the WTF (What the Fleece?) scale. Who thought anything could surpass the Dog Snuggie commercial. I present to you - Snuggie Disco.
Be sure to watch til the end watch for Snuggie Diva Jane DeNoble getting all cozy with the Snuggie laptop guy. There's much beyond the hilarity of this commercial to note - first off, this appears to be the infamous Pink Snuggie finally hitting the market. There's also a Forest Green version. Groovy.
It might be Summer, but cooler weather is right around the corner. This can only mean one thing. Forget football season. It is Snuggie Pub Crawl time - and now we're sure to see a lot of new styles out there, such as the Zebra Snuggie, Leopard Snuggie, etc.. The next Snuggie Pub Crawl is set for Thursday, August 6th in Marshfield, Wisconsin. You can go to SnuggiePubCrawls.com to get more info (or go to the Facebook Event page if you have a Facebook account to RSVP). There are also several more cities getting ready to be announced (I'm just waiting on Dates and Locations to be firmed up...and hello to Australia - what are you waiting on?)
Labby, Camilla and Stav take the Snuggie to Game 3 of the State of Origin, played at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane recently.

Labby and Stav hoist a brew while staying cozy warm in their Snuggies. Camilla opts for the less fashionable (and less fun) leather jacket - and forces a smile. Inside, she suffers from extreme Snuggie envy. Camilla needs a Snuggie!
Earlier in the day, Stav wrapped the famous Wally Lewis statue outside of the Suncorp Stadium in a maroon Snuggie.
Great work, Stav. Now all Wally needs is the complimentary booklight!
Is it just me, or is that statue smiling bigger now that he's wrapped in the warmth of the Snuggie??
As was the case in the United States, the Snuggie is now being warmly embraced by radio personalities in Australia. Here's a great pic from a recent Snuggie excursion on the Triple M - 104.7!

The Snuggie continues it's march towards world domination, taking Australia by storm. (Snuggie fans in Australia can order their Snuggie or Snuggie for kids here - SnuggieAustralia.com) So here's how the Snuggie phenomenon starts - someone gets a Snuggie. Before you know it, someone wants to share the warmth, and often (for whatever reason) a bottle of alcohol makes an appearance. Here are some recent Snuggie Sightings sent my way from some good Facebook friends from Australia.

The magic with the Snuggie is that it is one size fits all, and when we say all, we mean, ALL. There's always room for one more friend to join the Fleecy Frivolity. Always.

If you can't wear the Snuggie, you at least want to get close to it - perhaps feel the fleece, lick some chocolate off your fingers like Barney here...you know, typical Snuggie fun.

I received a submission from Tara, who appeared on this site a while back, doing the YMCA in a parking lot. Here's her note and Snuggie Sighting as a way to 'pay it forward'. And I quote: 'My name is Tara and I was "snuggie sighted" doing the YMCA in a snuggie a week or 2 ago. I'm paying it forward with this sighting of my friend Lisa who came home after happy hour, popped on a snuggie on one of the hottest days of the summer, and passed the f out. Enjoy.'

Here in the United States at least, we have this thing called Summer going on. Perhaps you've heard of it. It is that time of year when it gets quite toasty - like wearing a Snuggie any time you walk outdoors. But most of us working stiffs spend 8+ hours inside an office, which usually blasts air conditioning (to keep the worker drones awake). So the question arises - is it ok to wear a Snuggie to work?
What are you waiting for? I'm here to tell all of you who wonder if it is ok to get Snug in your cube (I've seen the tweets) that it is beyond ok - it is a wise career move. And if you or a co-worker wears a Snuggie in the office, please send pics (or it didn't happen).
